Meet Kathryn

Many of Kathryn’s images are painted from various shores of the Cayman Islands and often considers seasonal, daily and instantaneous changes in these viewpoints. Her first consideration is always colour followed by form. She works in various materials such as acrylic on canvas, fibre, wood, paper and gauche.

Kathryn received a B.A. (Fine Arts) at University of Toronto and a B.Ed. from the same institution. She was a Department head of Art for a number of years in Aurora north of Toronto and she also taught at Seneca College in the Toronto area before relocating to The Cayman Islands. Kathryn also taught Art at Several local schools in Grand Cayman and at the Education Department of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. She and her husband raised three children and continue to live in South Sound Grand Cayman.
